Farm to Table

Alom is dedicated to developing lasting economic stability in Ambergris Caye and the mainland of Belize through non-genetically altered organic agriculture. We are growing coffee, fruits, and a variety of greens organically on the premises, or produce and livestock through local people who are paid fair wages and treated with fairness and respect. It all goes from our farm to your table.

Products that are not yet grown at Alom are found and cultivated for us in the community Spanish Lookout. That way we are responsible for a very small footprint that is compensated with the conservation of 30,000 acres of forest. Guests are in for a treat when they dine with us. Thanks to our large working farm, Alom sources roughly 50% of its food products from right on the premises.

Diners at our comfortable indoor/outdoor ocean view restaurant and bar will enjoy a variety of special Belizean dishes as well as an array of international flavors using the finest in local ingredients. The restaurant is located in the Estate Building surrounded by where jungle meets the beach, resort gardens and the buried grandeur of Mayan ruins. Guests are invited to sit back with a glass of wine, Belikin Beer, or refreshing fruit, and vegetable drinks, and of course the complimentary sounds of the jungle and littoral wildlife, which are a nightly indulgence.
